Serif’s PAGEPLUS X2

Almost five years ago, my husband introduced me to Serif’s product line. Serif is based in the UK, and has developed a wonderful line of software to help the user create stunning webpages, publications, and graphic art. Serif’s PagePlus program is a desktop publishing software that is intuitive, adaptable, and provides a wide variety of options.

I use it to teach my classes because it is a “drag and drop” type of program - very easy for the beginner who wants to start designing their pages as quickly as possible! A free basic version of PagePlus is available at freeserifsoftware.com. Enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is PagePlus an expensive program?
Another reason why I like PagePlus is because of the very competitive price. Other comparable programs will run you anywhere from around $100 and up. Upgrading from the basic program will cost around $60.

Can I use Digital Kits with PagePlus X2?
Absolutely! You can import the images without a problem. You can also recolor or resize images once they have been imported.

What about templates?
Unfortunately, PagePlus X2 cannot edit templates since most templates are created using Adobe Photoshop. You can edit these templates in Adobe Photoshop Elements.

What about QuickPages?
Ah. This is the beauty of QuickPages. They are an image unto themselves - which means you can import into PagePlus and add your photos. Just move the photos to the “back” and you’re good!
